El presidente de Rusia, Vladímir Putin, expresó su apoyo a su homólogo de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, en los esfuerzos a la nación bolivariana de reforzar la soberanía. En una llamada telefónica, ambos mandatarios conversaron sobre los problemas que vive la nación bolivariana, en especial “la presión externa” ejercida por ciertos países. Putin expresó el apoyo de Rusia a Caracas, en medio de las sanciones e intervenciones de otros países. El jefe de Estado venezolano agradeció a Putin el envío de la vacuna SputnikV contra el coronavirus.
