Robótica educativa: ¿otra asignatura escolar?

Varios países la han incorporado en sus sistemas de enseñanzas, desde los primeros niveles escolares. Y es que se generan ambientes propicios hacia el trabajo integrado, mediante procesos científico-tecnológicos como crear y programar robots.
Algo imprescindible en el contexto de sociedad interconectada, sobre todo cuando hablamos de desarrollar el pensamiento lógico para el análisis y solución de diversas situaciones. Un aprendizaje desde el conocimiento compartido que persigue, además, descubrir las capacidades en cada persona a partir de la niñez.
Según el estudiante de primer año de Ingeniería Automática en la CUJAE, Christian Guzmán Noda, los cursos se diseñan para vincular a los niños mediante el uso de juegos didácticos a temas básicos como la electrónica y la lógica de programación. Esto les permite desarrollar un perfil vocacional con carreras ingenieriles como Biomédica, Telecomunicaciones y Automática, a fin de fomentarlas en la sociedad. «Creo que de haber tenido la oportunidad de participar en este tipo de proyectos desde pequeño me hubiese ayudado a la hora de elegir mi carrera, incluso para tener una mejor preparación estando en ella», precisó.
No obstante, la Robótica Educativa implica un conflicto necesario si tenemos en cuenta que para masificar su uso son imprescindibles recursos tecnológicos en ocasiones muy costosos. Pero ¿qué alternativas aparecen en Cuba ante este desafío?
Para el sistema nacional de educación hoy se desarrolla un proyecto que coordina el Instituto Central de Ciencias Pedagógicas con distintas universidades.
En esta línea, la Dra.C Ivón Oristela Benítez explica su experiencia como coordinadora del Grupo de Robótica y Mecatrónica de la CUJAE:»para implementar esta disciplina debería evaluarse dónde realmente merita la pena realizar la inversión. Por ejemplo, algunos países a nivel internacional lo utilizan como parte del currículo base de las escuelas primarias y secundarias en ciudades industrializadas, y en otros lugares se realiza a modo de círculos de interés; de esta manera nuestro grupo trabaja los cursos desde el año 2017 hasta hoy».

Además de la colaboración institucional en el desarrollo de cursos para niñas, niños, adolescentes y jóvenes cubanos; se diseñan mecanismos menos costosos, como una tienda especializada en componentes electrónicos.
Según profesionales de la carrera Ingeniería Automática, este proyecto permitirá respaldo tecnológico para la construcción de robots y ayudaría también a generar mayor participación en competencias internacionales, donde Cuba apuesta desde ya por la innovación y el aprendizaje colectivo.
En resumen, la Robótica Educativa trasciende el espacio de las aulas, los laboratorios y las modernas tecnologías. Se trata de cosechar, desde los primeros pasos, soluciones más sostenibles para la vida.
