The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the PCC and President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, described the results of the vaccine candidates Soberana 02 and Abdala in their efficacy studies as national pride.
Together with the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Inés María Chapman Waugh, the president led the usual weekly meeting with representatives of scientific and academic institutions that participate in the confrontation with COVID-19.
He also chaired the meeting of the Temporary Working Group for the prevention and control of the new coronavirus.
