The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, considered it an honor to visit the British royal couple, Prince Charles of Wales and the Duchess Camila of Cornwall, to Cuba, with which he will meet on Monday in Havana.

In a message on the social network Twitter, the Cuban leader welcomed his Highnesses, and said it is an honor for Cuba to receive them and show them the country that it is.

He also confirmed that he will hold talks with Prince Charles of Wales and Duchess Camilla of Cornwall, adding that his visit shows the good state of relations between Cuba and the United Kingdom.

Prince Charles of Wales and Duchess Camilla of Cornwall arrived the day before to the Major of the Antilles and as the first of their activities they paid tribute to the Apostle José Martí and toured the memorial that bears the name of the Cuban National Hero located in the capital Plaza de the Revolution, accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Ana Teresita González.

On Monday morning, they will tour the Palace of the Captains General in the historic quarter of Havana, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1982.
