The UBPC Julián Alemán, located in the municipality of Consolación del Sur, is the cooperative structure that grows the most Virginia tobacco in Cuba. In order to guarantee the sowing in the months of October to November of the 35 hectares foreseen, the irrigation of seedbeds in tunnels was started, which makes it possible to have high quality seedlings.
