El primer secretario del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de Cuba y presidente de la República, Miguel Díaz-Canel, felicitó este lunes al nuevo mandatario de Perú, Pedro Castillo Terrones, quien triunfó en la segunda vuelta de elecciones (6 de junio) con un gran apoyo popular.
El jefe de Estado envió el mensaje mediante su cuenta de Twitter, y le deseó éxitos en su gestión.
También el canciller de la mayor isla de las Antillas, Bruno Rodríguez expresó en esa red social sus congratulaciones al gobernante de Perú y al pueblo de ese país por la histórica victoria en las urnas.
La víspera el Jurado Nacional de Elecciones (JNE) de la nación andina confirmó a Castillo como nuevo presidente, tras declarar improcedentes y dilatorios los últimos cinco reclamos de la derrotada candidata neoliberal Keiko Fujimori.
La proclamación motivó la algarabía de una multitud de seguidores del maestro rural ante el local de su partido, Perú Libre, y la celebración se prolongó hasta la madrugada.
