Dianelis Chavero, inspectora del transporte público en La Habana, espera con ansiedad el momento de mudarse a la nueva casa que le ha sido asignada a su familia en un reparto que se levanta en los límites de las barriadas de Lawton y Mantilla.
En medio de la pandemia de la COVID-19 y el reforzamiento del bloqueo económico, comercial y financiero de Estados Unidos contra la isla, cientos de familia en todo el país se benefician a través del programa de construcción de viviendas, prioridad en la agenda gubernamental.
Chavero, quien vive con sus dos hijas y esposo, asegura que ya se imagina el modo en que decorará su nueva casa, y ha incluso comprado algunos utensilios para hacer del nuevo hogar un sitio más confortable.
“Estoy desesperada por mudarme”, comentó la cubana de 43 años quien considera que esto “es algo que definitivamente mejorará las condiciones de vida de mi familia.”
“Estoy muy agradecida”, agregó.
Como ella cientos de personas del municipio 10 de octubre aguardan por estrenar sus nuevos apartamentos, una vez los trabajos de construcción sean concluidos en el nuevo reparto.
Alfredo Rodríguez, jefe de una de las brigadas de construcción a pie de obra, está al frente de una veintena de trabajadores de la provincia Villa Clara que participan en las acciones constructivas en el lugar desde hace varios meses.
“Hasta el momento todo marcha bien y a buen ritmo. Podemos decir que ha existido un suministro estable de los materiales y no nos falta nada para poder entregar una obra con calidad”, puntualizó.
En 10 de octubre, el segundo municipio más poblado de la capital después de Arroyo Naranjo, está prevista la terminación de más de 300 viviendas a lo largo del año, de acuerdo con las autoridades locales.
El director municipal de la vivienda en 10 de octubre, Adrián Pantoja,aseguró que el programa de la vivienda no se ha detenido a pesar de la complejidad epidemiológica que enfrenta el país.
“Esto es muy importante, es una tarea priorizada del país. Seguiremos trabajando duro”, respondió durante un recorrido por varios sitios del municipio.
Desde 2012 152 mil hogares en todo el país, particularmente familias vulnerables y de bajos ingresos se han beneficiado con las diferentes modalidades del programa de vivienda, de acuerdo con el Ministro de Construcción en la isla René Mesa durante su comparecencia en el espacio televisivo Mesa Redonda.
Agregó que la producción de materiales de la construcción no decrecerá durante 2021, y anunció que se trabaja en el desarrollo de unas 22 mini industrial para la producción de ladrillos en el país.
En La Habana, la más populosa ciudad en Cuba, también está en marcha un programa de entrega de terrenos, locales, o viviendas para madres con tres o más hijos menores de 17 años de edad.
Entre ellas se encuentra la joven Belkisleidy Peña, madre de cuatro hijos, quien vivía con su madre en una pequeña casa, y ahora cuenta con un apartamento en el reparto Vista Alegre, en Lawton.
“Esto ha sido un cambio tremendo en mi vida. Los niños disponen de más espacio para moverse y jugar, y yo estoy verdaderamente muy agradecida”, concluyó.
